When I was recently asked, "Do you want to go to church on Easter Sunday?" I was very hesitant. I haven't been to church in many years. When I found this website and listened to Rev. Soper's sermons, the feeling eased. AUMC seems so much like the church I was born in, grew up in and I am looking forward to joining all of you on Easter Sunday.

A very nice website. I've been looking for a Mother's Day Out for our great grandson, whom we are raising. He needs some socialization with other children and since I was raised in the Methodist Church, I wanted to check these first. We have not been involved in organized religion for many years for a variety of reasons but I find myself singing "Jesus Loves Me" and "Jesus Loves the Little Children" to my great grandson (22 months) and I remember how much I loved Sunday School when I was very small. I do believe I learned my basic values from early Sunday School music and I want him to have this same experience in an open, progressive, diverse church setting that is not judgmental and one that teaches love and acceptance of all people.

I found this site by doing a Google search for 8:30am church services in Richardson while I was in town for Christmas (I currently live in New England). Unfortunately there wasn't an early service on December 28th, so I wasn't able to attend. But I listened to some of the recorded sermons posted on the site, and they were wonderful. I tend to be very finicky about sermons, but I loved the ones of yours that I've heard so far, and look forward to listening to more. Indeed, they are spiritually nourishing. Thank you so much!

I first met Jack & Marti in the early 90's @ Holy Covenant Church. I always believed that for the first time in my life I actually took God's direction when out of all of the churches in the north Dallas suburbs I walked into Jack's church. I knew no one there, no recommendation by anyone I simply liked the looks of the church. I was Methodist however I had not been to church for 20 years. I immediately felt I had found a home. I joined the women's group where I met Marti. That smile alone melted any apprehension I might have had. When I listened to Jack for the first time as an adult I felt God was speaking to not only my heart but my brain and I was happier with myself than I had ever been.
When Jack was sent to Arapaho United Methodist Church I felt like my heart had been broken. I attended AUMC several times but the most joyous was when I attended the wedding of Jack & Marti.
I have lived in Colorado for 11 years now and sorry to say I do not attend church, you see I have not found a Soper family here. That is my shortcoming. I miss you Jack more than you will ever know. You did make a mark on soul and I pray for your ministry as well as Marti's to continue you the love & spirit of giving for allways. If If I can ever get back to Dallas I will come & replenish my soul.

God bless all in the Soper congregations, you are definitely blessed to have their guidance.
I miss you Jack & Marti, and think of you often.

When I first had a glance at your website I was impressed; there was a beautiful picture of Rev. Soper holding two toddlers in his arms - I got a feeling of a nuturing church. Two other things that I think are very imortant: AUMC offers rides to people who love within 5 miles of the church; a church that believes in outreach & you have "prayer requst" available from the internet; a church that knows where its strength comes from.

My only suggestion is that you include a photo gallery of the churches people & events. I have moved recently to Richardson and I look forward to visting AUMC in the future.

Thank you,

Osten aune
