Welcome to Scripture In Motion Sunday School Program

The workshop rotation module "Scriptures in Motion" teaches major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly multimedia workshops. The same Bible story is taught in all of the workshops for six weeks, with a different class rotating to a new workshop each week. With shorter commitments and more focused environments it is easier for everyone to get involved.

There are three (2) basic job descriptions for the rotation program.

---------------------------------------------------

Shepherds: Long term commitment (9 months.)  These persons are the constant in the children's lives each week. This person greets the children each week, takes attendance, maintains order and discipline in the classroom and helps the facilitator/teacher where needed. The upside is there is no lesson planning, no preparation, just show up each week and enjoy the children and the lesson.

---------------------------------------------------

Facilitator/Teacher:
Short term commitment, only six (6) weeks. Ideally facilitators/teachers will volunteer in teams. Each team teaches in the same workshop for the entire 6 weeks, with a different age level of children rotating in each week. The curriculum is extremely teacher friendly and is already broken down into age appropriate activities. This program allows people to volunteer in areas that interest them and that are suited to their gifts and talents. By teaching the same workshop each week you are able to improve on the lesson plan each week.
